The 2014 Pantone Colour of the Year has just been announced as Radiant Orchard 18-3224 which is a reflection of the years fashion, print and web design trends. You can read more about how they determine what colour is going to be colour of the year at Pantone. Now that you have seen the 2014 Pantone Colour of the Year trust me when I say this but you’ll start to notice it more and more when your out shopping or even surfing the web. Designers take note of what’s hot and what’s not so when Pantone, such a relied upon company by designers issues a colour of the year it’s bound to be used.
I noticed the 2013 colour slowly start to creep into the fashion world at the beginning of the year with now products being added weekly. By the summer you could pretty much see it in ever store in the country, same goes for the Tangerine Tango of 2012, a very noticeable colour that flooded fashion, graphic design and web design for the year. You can use these colours or combinations of these colours any time you want and you know that they are good strong popular colours that will work well out there.
If your rebranding or thinking about have a new logo design then it’s worth having a look at the list of colours below. Picking something that is a little different is always a good thing when designing, but you’ll notice that all these colours are not ridiculously out there, they are pretty safe but you wouldn’t find them used in too many logo’s. The usual red, blue and grey’s that probably make up 60% of the worlds logos soon appear drab and boring when you check out the list below. I always take a close look at the Pantone trends colours used online to make sure that I’m always introducing myself to new combinations and colours. This helps me to create unique creative logos that stand out.
If I can help you with your logo design than contact me and in touch and lets discuss your project.
